Introduction to Risk Assessment
Course Duration is 3 Hours
Risk assessment involves looking at the risks that arise in the workplace and then putting sensible health and safety measures in place to control them. The aim of this course is to help persons understand the basics of carrying out and recording a Risk Assessment.
Topics covered will include:
What is a Hazard?What is a Risk?What do "ALARP" and “SFAIRP” mean?What does “reasonably practicable” mean?HSE’s 5 Steps to Risk Assessment:
- Identify the hazards
- Who might be harmed and how
- Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions
- Record your findings and implement them
- Review your risk assessment
